It's so easy for us to go 'time-traveling' in our mind, but not all of the thoughts we have about the future are equally helpful or even enjoyable.
In this video, Dr Richard MacKinnon outlines the difference between planning, prediction and ‘playwriting’ and why it’s important to notice which you’re doing. We can deal with unhelpful thoughts and images of the future by building our present moment awareness and by learning to see thoughts as just that: thoughts.
