Executive Coach - Dunstable

I am a values driven coach with a deep commitment to ethical leadership, joyful learning and system wide impact.

My career has shaped my belief in the power of human connection and the transformative potential of courageous leadership. With over 30 years’ experience working alongside leaders and leadership teams navigating complexity, I bring a calm, reflective presence and a deep understanding of organisational systems. My coaching is underpinned by the Global Code of Ethics and grounded in empowerment and transformation—the principles that define my work.

My purpose as a coach is to empower leaders to transform. I believe every person has far more courage, clarity and capability within them than they realise. My coaching helps leaders reconnect with their values, rediscover their purpose and lead with confidence, integrity and joy.

I specialise in supporting leaders who feel stuck, overwhelmed or disconnected from the leader they want to be, creating the conditions for deep insight, renewed energy and meaningful change. My work is about helping clients see what is possible, feel it, and act on it—with authenticity and strengthened belief in their own potential.

My coaching philosophy is rooted in empowerment, transformation and ethical partnership. I believe people flourish when they feel seen, heard and understood; leadership becomes courageous when anchored in values; and insight emerges when space, silence and curiosity are honoured. I coach with humility, presence and deep listening, offering clean, observational feedback that strengthens awareness and supports clients to think more deeply. My role is not to provide answers, but to create the conditions in which clients can find their own—with clarity, compassion and courage.

I offer a distinctive coaching approach that integrates several evidence based methodologies. My practice is transformational, helping clients create deep shifts in thinking, behaviour and identity. It is democratic, empowering clients to choose their own direction and take full ownership. It is informed by positive psychology, building strengths, resilience and wellbeing so clients can flourish and take values driven action. It is underpinned by narrative principles, enabling clients to examine and reshape the stories they tell about themselves. And it is solution focused, moving purposefully towards desired outcomes. This approach consistently unlocks clarity, confidence and powerful change in clients navigating complexity, leading teams, managing conflict or rediscovering their purpose.

Across my career—as headteacher, executive leader, local authority adviser, school improvement partner, executive coach and practising Ofsted inspector—I have worked with hundreds of leaders who are navigating change and wanting to reconnect with their values, grow, and empower their teams and themselves. I bring a system wide perspective, a deep understanding of organisational dynamics and a calm, reflective presence that helps leaders think clearly in complexity.

Whether supporting individuals stepping into new roles, leadership teams strengthening their collective efficacy or professionals seeking renewed purpose, my coaching offers thoughtful challenge, a fresh lens and a partnership that enables leaders to flourish with confidence, clarity and courage.

The coaching had a really positive impact on my leadership. It helped me recognise my own inner strength and realise that I often already have many of the answers; I just needed the space to reflect and trust my judgement. It also encouraged me to think about building more connections with leaders in other schools so I can continue to learn and develop. While I know I am still growing as a leader, the coaching helped me see that I am doing a good job and moving in the right direction. Personally, the coaching helped me learn how to compartmentalise things better and give myself time and perspective. It made me realise that I can’t do everything at once and that things don’t have to be perfect. It also helped me appreciate how much I am already doing, even if I haven’t achieved everything I originally set out to. I’ve learned the importance of recognising manageable steps along the way to my bigger goals, so I can reflect and celebrate progress rather than feeling overwhelmed because I’m not there yet.

The coaching sessions have made me a better leader. They have enabled me to feel confident that we are doing the right things as Michele always ensures that I articulate the reason for making certain decisions and why we are making decisions or new plans. It has helped me articulate my thoughts far more effectively which in turn has strengthened my communication to the staff and stakeholders. I trust Michele to coach me and I have great respect for how she manages me during these sessions! The sessions do make my brain hurt quite a lot but in an exciting, productive, challenging way. I have looked forward to them and I’m eager for them to continue next academic year.
