About me

Executive Coach - Glasgow

My coaching is grounded in professional practice, reflective depth, and a clear understanding of how pressure operates in working lives. I work primarily with professionals in visible, accountable roles who are required to think clearly, perform quickly, and sustain themselves within complexity.

I am an EMCC Senior Practitioner and work to their ethical framework, supported by regular supervision. That professional foundation matters to me as a discipline that underpins how I practise. My work centres on creating a grounded thinking space where clarity, self-awareness, responsibility, and good judgement in decision-making can emerge.

Based in Glasgow, I work internationally across the UK, Europe, and beyond, offering both virtual and in-person work, depending on what best supports the client and their context.

Much of my work sits at the intersection of performance, identity, pressure, and leadership. Clients often come to me when workload or responsibility has increased, when organisational dynamics feel constraining, when change is at play, or when expectations begin to conflict with their values or sense of self. I pay close attention to context, recognising how organisations, culture, and unspoken norms shape behaviour, relationships, and decision-making.

I have a particular interest in neurodiversity and difference, and I work in ways that recognise that people do not think, process, or communicate in the same way. Rather than focusing on labels, I work with the individual’s lived experience, strengths, and needs, supporting them to develop approaches that are both authentic and sustainable within their environment.

My coaching style is calm, thoughtful, and relational. I value trust, discretion, and honesty, and I work at a pace that allows people to slow down enough to notice what truly matters. Given the opportunity to think clearly and perform calmly, clients often describe the space as grounding, enabling them to act with greater intention and purpose.

Before training extensively as a coach, I worked in high-pressure, highly visible roles where decisions carried real consequence and scrutiny was part of the landscape. That experience informs my coaching because I understand what it is like to be accountable, exposed, and expected to perform strongly in challenging conditions while remaining composed, professional, and supportive of others.

I work with individuals and organisations who value reflective practice, ethical decision-making, and thoughtful leadership. Coaching with me is a professional partnership: rigorous, human, and attentive to both the person and the organisational systems they operate within.

I can't thank Robin enough for his impactful coaching and support. From day 1 of coaching, it was felt that Robin took the effort to understand me; asking probing questions to understand the details of me and how I work; as well as the challenges I was facing. Robins coaching style worked perfectly for me. He wasn't forceful in his opinion or using phrases such as 'you should try this'. It was the contrary; Robin allowed me to think of my own solutions through open conversation and effective questions. The benefit of this has not only been recognised by myself but my peers and wider connections too. I have been able to apply simple but impactful skills to my work immediately; which was achieved through powerful root causing of the issue and openness to challenge. I am really pleased with my progress and I have a clear understanding of where I want to be; what is needed to get there and some key principles to keep me on track. Thank you Robin. David. H.
