Hosted by Henley Business School.
Leaders need to take the time to invest in and protect their own health and wellbeing – and this is rarely high on their agenda.
In this session, Tim Anstiss will share and explore insights from acceptance and mindfulness approaches, which help us to unhook from unwanted thoughts and to become present and accepting of life’s happenings. We will also take lessons from compassionate mind training, including cultivating self-compassion and self-acceptance, as well as working with a range of cognitive strategies and noticing thinking biases that can trip us up and be demotivating.
We will also have a word with our inner critic – yes, we all have one! – and instead, cultivate each of the five pillars of wellbeing (positive emotions, engagement, relationships, meaning, and feelings of achievement) and other options for staying or becoming more resilient.
