Leadership and the development of future and existing leaders are priorities for any organisation. But enduring myths about what makes for good leadership, combined with a lot of poor practice in leadership development, leave the space muddied and full of myths and misunderstandings.

The experienced and accredited workplace psychologists at WorkLifePsych have launched a campaign to improve the quality of leadership development bust the myths that confuse the leadership conversation. We call it ‘Sustainable Leadership’.

In this third webinar in the series, Dr. Richard MacKinnon will address the importance of proactive investment in leaders’ wellbeing. He’ll share:

  • Some of the particular challenges leaders face when it comes to wellbeing
  • Why it’s a mistake to frame performance and wellbeing as being in tension
  • How short-term thinking leads to burnout
  • The critical role of self-care for leaders’ wellbeing
  • Why leaders need an effective and sustainable coping toolkit
