The OK Corral model, developed by psychologist Frank Ernst, is a powerful framework used in Transactional Analysis (TA) to understand human interactions and life positions.

Life positions reflect an individual’s fundamental beliefs about themselves and others, categorised into four key stances:

“I’m OK, You’re OK”“I’m OK, You’re Not OK”“I’m Not OK, You’re OK”, and “I’m Not OK, You’re Not OK.”

These positions influence our behaviours, communication styles, and relationships.

In coaching, using the OK Corral helps individuals gain self-awareness, shift negative perspectives, and develop healthier interactions.

By fostering an “I’m OK, You’re OK” mindset, coaches empower clients to build confidence, improve decision-making, and strengthen relationships, leading to personal and professional growth.

Attendees of this event will gain the ability to:

  • Have gained a clear grasp of the four life positions and how they shape thoughts, behaviors and relationships.
  • Identified your own default life position and recognize how it influences your interactions and coaching style.
  • Understand how to apply the OK Corral model to support clients in shifting towards a more constructive and empowering mindset.
  • Discovered strategies to foster positive and productive conversations by guiding clients towards an “I’m OK, You’re OK” stance.
