Leading inclusively is without doubt one of the most challenging things to ask of a business leader. Why? Because when it comes to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), conversations cut to the very core of who they are: their belief system, their values, what they were taught about right and wrong as children and, ultimately, what they stand for as leaders.
Coaching can act as a powerful facilitator of self-reflection for leaders, encouraging them to understand their assessments of the world and of people, what triggers their emotive response to DEI, and inviting them to see alternate truths.
