I'm delighted to write this reference for Louise Black. I've had the pleasure of working with Louise as my coach for neurodivergent support in the workplace. Louise is an exceptional coach. I felt at ease straight away and had full trust that I was in supportive hands. Our sessions always feel like a safe and positive space. What sets Louise apart is not just her technical skills, but also attention to detail and her ability to understand her client with care. Louise gave my team of staff members a series of life-coaching sessions. Feedback from all was very positive and they each found the experience individually helpful. As their manager, I saw morale improve as well as productivity.

I have been working with Louise over a period of about two years, during which time my life has improved exponentially. Louise’s positive, forward focussed approach has inspired me to get out my metaphorical running shorts after several years of being ‘stuck’. We worked through several creative exercises, expertly chosen to suit my skills and experience. I never felt harried, hurried or hustled but have been in constant, constructive movement towards wonderful outcomes. Turns out, I had a great life just waiting to be lived. I have been able to reach out to Louise after intervals of a few months or a few weeks to continue my journey. Louise has asked the challenging questions at the right times and put a mirror up to my collusion with a stasis that was stale. Louise is always clear about the distinction between coaching, counselling and therapy. I have some experience as a coach and a lot of experience in teaching, and I know it is easy to blur the lines. This has never been an issue throughout our work together. In short, after 19 years of living singly and working long hours in a home office, I braved the jungle outside and met a lovely man. We bought a house together and are getting married this September. I’m considering the next phase of my creative life, having given up the job I had outgrown. It is no coincidence that this profound period of shift has occurred whilst I have been receiving coaching from Louise. I thank her profusely.
