Helping people reach their full potential

My passion is to help people to reach their full potential. I will work with you to identify what your strengths are, and figure out how you can use these to maximise your own performance as well as that of your team. We might also look at what happens when these become over done strengths or when it would be helpful for you to tackle those blind spots, that we all have, that can derail your efforts.

Coaching for 20 years

I’ve been a coach for 20 years. I set up my own business 4 years ago and before that operated at increasingly senior roles within Talent and Organisation Development in various blue chip Organisations; e.g. Vodafone, Serco, BT, Homeserve, GSK, 3i, PWC so I understand and can help you to navigate organisational politics.
I have just completed an MSc in Occupational Psychology and am currently studying to become a Chartered Occupational Psychologist. This studying combined with my corporate experience has given me a clear grasp of what works and what doesn’t work in business. It also led me to write a book, “The Science of Talent – How to find, grow and keep the right people for your organisation”, launched in January 2018, it has had great reviews and already reached top 10 in sales volumes in its category.

Coaching start-up founders and leaders

I work across all sectors at a senior level and particularly enjoy coaching founders or leaders of new start-up businesses.

I worked with Kate a few years back when I was working through some reflections on how my behaviours had impacted performance in a senior role. Kate was exceptionally insightful and, with the help of some tools that I bought into, helped enormously in identifying not only the behaviours but also the reasons underlying these and their impact on others that has allowed me to have much more successful relationships with the people I work for. I often think that the value of coaching is only recognised after a period of time and this is why I feel confident, looking back, that recommending Kate is a properly evaluated view.

Kate has been helping me to focus on how to work effectively. She has provided insightful advice and instilled more confidence in my approach to work. She has also helped me to see how to overcome some of the concerns that small business owners have. I would recommend her highly for her warm and sensitive approach. JMT Manager

Kate has been working with me for the last few months and has really helped me focus and develop on some of my weaker areas. She quickly figured out what made me tick and really pushed me to think more critically about myself and how I interact with others. I hope to work with Kate again soon.

Kate has been such a great help to me over the last year. Although I have had my own business for many years there were so many things I did not know and even worse...did not know who to ask! I met Kate at an event and quickly decided that she was the person to help me. Just easy things for others, like Zoom for instance, soon became clear as did so many other things in the direct selling world. I would always recommend Kate's help to my colleagues and appreciate very much all the help and advice she has given me. Thank you Kate ..Janet, Group Leader, Neal's Yard Remedies Organic.

Kate has been highly influential in helping me to step out of the detail and look at the bigger picture of my role in order to drive ownership, accountability and improvements through my team. This is something that was required for me to be successful in my role and a direct request from senior stakeholders. This has enabled me to hit challenging targets and KPI's within a short amount of time. Her ability to challenge me in a supportive way has been a great enabler to my progress. I would highly recommend Kate as a coach. Dominic Williams, Site Director, Hello Fresh

I was about six months into setting up my own acupuncture business when I met Kate. I had been feeling overwhelmed with what I needed to do particularly on the promotion side and time management as I was working at home. I felt I wasn't keeping on top of things. She helped me prioritise what was important to me and what I needed to focus on in those early stages. This helped me move forward with the business and how I was managing all aspects of it. Kate's experience was obvious during the sessions, which were focused but relaxed. I thoroughly recommend Kate if you are any stage of starting a business. Caiti Buck, Acupuncturist
