About me
Executive Coach - Exeter, Torquay, Newton Abbot
Having spent over two decades in the charity sector, both running a charity and supporting others through my consultancy business, I’ve gained valuable insights into this unique field. I understand the challenges and pressures that come with working in the sector, but also the immense satisfaction it offers.
I am Marsha Cox, a qualified Executive Charity Coach who, through my company Potential provides coaching services dedicated to helping executive charity leaders; CEO’s, social entrepreneurs and senior charity managers seeking to develop leadership skills, navigate career changes, or achieve a better work-life balance.
With a deep experience and understanding of the challenges and opportunities unique to the charity sector, I provide tailored coaching to help people of purpose reach their full potential.
My coaching services focus on leadership development, strategic thinking, team management, and personal growth. I aim to equip charity executives with the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to navigate high pressured complex environments, drive organisational success, and create meaningful change.
At Potential, I take a collaborative and empathetic approach, combining proven coaching tools with insights into the charity sector. Whether it’s supporting leaders through change, helping clients maintain a healthy work life balance, enhancing team dynamics, or helping professionals align their work with their values, my mission is to inspire and empower those who dedicate their careers to making a difference.
I am a qualified Coach, having achieved the ILM Level 7 Diploma for Executive & Senior Level Coaches and Mentors. This strategic-level coaching and mentoring qualification, accredited by EMCC and the ICF, enhances my ability to work effectively with senior leaders and executives. I also hold a Practitioner-level membership with the EMCC. I am a certified Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway trainer and am dedicated to promoting positive mental health and wellbeing. I have completed training in the ASSIST program and Mental Health First Aid in the workplace.
My coaching approach is characterised by my natural openness, encouragement, and a proactive responsiveness to my clients' individual needs. I am passionate about helping individuals discover their potential and ignite their spark – enabling them to live a life of purpose.
I have worked with many CEOs of prominent charities such as Citizens Advice, Age UK, and the Community Council for Somerset. Additionally, I have mentored a diverse range of social entrepreneurs through Bath Spa University's Social Enterprise Programme, supporting artists, ethical retailers, and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
