About me
Duncan developed his commercial nous at Procter & Gamble before co-founding a leadership development organisation in 2012. He was the founding CEO of The Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology (Dyson’s largest ever investment into talent development), an entrepreneur, a trustee of a social justice charity and a governor of an inner-London academy. He has a particular interest in emotional intelligence, company culture and the meeting point of high-performance and wellbeing. He is currently completing a masters in Integrative Psychotherapy at The Minster Centre in London.

Duncan’s work is laser-focused and deep. His coaching helps his clients identify and change the one big thing that will have the greatest impact on them, their leadership and their organisations – he tries to avoid the shopping list of coaching goals. He is challenging, deeply attuned and optimistic for change. He has experience leading organisations and consulting to businesses, and extensive training in both professional coaching and psychotherapy – this helps him understand how high-performance companies and teams operate at a systemic level, and how the individuals within them can be supported to thrive. He speaks both languages.

I really valued Duncan's input as my coach. We quickly established a safe space to explore and unpick thoughts and feelings that were blocking my progression. Duncan was gently challenging and helped me notice and identify some big feelings. Over the course of 6 sessions we worked through a plan that allowed me to develop and test some new collaborative models of practice, drawing on some of the theories I was studying on the course. We spent time reflecting on managing up and managing down and this has encouraged me to be bolder and try new styles of working, ultimately increasing my confidence as a senior manager, thank you Duncan.
