Coaching

Clients come to me to make choices. Life choices, personal choices, career choices.

These choices include shifting work/life balance, changing career direction, being less stressed, regaining their confidence, changing relationship dynamics, reevaluating priorities and getting perspective.

Sometimes it’s about choices to get more of what they want; finding work that fulfils them, realising a dream, finding meaning and purpose in their lives, or simply being happier.

I have worked with clients from board level through to team leader, but also with people from all walks of life simply seeking to be the best version of themselves and live a better life.

How some clients saw it...

“I was aware of an urgent need to re-evaluate some of my priorities and perspectives, particularly in relation to work, following an experience of significant burnout … I feel significantly better equipped”

“Steve helped me to delve deep inside myself and to confront the reality that I’d hidden from myself - I was ready to move on and leave my current employer.”

“...there were occasions when I’d respond to one of his questions and be surprised by my answer, not knowing I felt that way until I articulated it. Personable, caring, focussed and challenging, Steve helped me to change the course of my life for the better.”

Coaching supervision

I run group supervision, work with coaches 1-2-1 and support several organisations with internal coaches.

My supervision style is to focus on development. I take a systemic stance, curious about the hidden patterns in the coach's work. Sometimes we will 'helicopter out' and explore ideas. On occasion we might focus in, to that sometimes deeply vulnerable place where we as coaches explore our inner self. Always though with care and compassion.

I work with coaches new to supervision and experienced coaches who enjoy working somatically and systemically.

How some supervisees saw it...

“Steve, as a coach of 26 years, I have experienced your supervision as enriching and like a wide angle lens on my practice, with a zoom for some important moments and thoughts. I love your playful and insightful, curious approach, I love how we dance with the themes.”

“Steve’s style is relaxed and open which encourages great thinking...”

“He is astute, challenging and thought provoking and more often than not he got me thinking well beyond the obvious. I always came out of supervision feeling energised about my coaching”

and finally from me…

I have 15 years of corporate experience in OD and leading change. I marry this with 17 years spent coaching and supporting people to develop and change themselves.

I have a wife and two grown up 'children'. Oh, and I support Wycombe Wanderers, not because I love football, but because crowd dynamics and tribal belonging are fascinating.

Now, how about you?

Steve coached me through a tricky time in my career and my life. His style is patient, creative, unbiased, challenging (when needed) and supporting. His vast experience means he is unphased by what anyone (including me) might bring! I would unreservedly recommend him.
