Whether you are just starting out as a coaching supervisor or have been practicing for a while, it is often a challenge to articulate what you do differently when you supervise compared to when you operate as a coach. And those differences can get particularly blurred if your coaching clients are coaches or if you are a MentorCoach.
Join Michelle Lucas for this intensive short programme where she will use the StEWARD model to bring structure to your reflections on your supervision practice.
The programme begins with two informative and interactive webinars where she explains the StEWARD model which invites you to dissect how you supervise. As preparation for these webinars you will recieve a copy of the journal article where the StEWARD model is published (in addition to links to a series of blogs explaining the model). After each session you will be expected to update your existing coaching supervisor bio based on your discussions with peers and send this to Michelle in advance of a 121 session with her.
With this as the backdrop, you will then have an individual session where Michelle will support you to do a deep dive into the intracies of your mindset that shapes your coaching supervision practice and which can be articulated in your supervision bio.
Michelle believes that many of the skills we use as both a coach and as a coach supervisor are similar or overlapping and so what differentiates our practice will depend on our mindset. The StEWARD model identifies six components which are different for her – it’s the culmination of over 10 years of practice and reflection on that practice. These components have been tested and researched with other practitioners. While there was a high degree of resonance with the model overall, the six components were not universally accepted, which is exactly why it is so useful!! This is not a supervision process model that you are invited to adopt and follow in your practice, it is a model which gives you a structure to clarify how you, and only you, practice.
So how will this benefit you and your supervision business?
· The greater clarity you have about “what” you do, the more compelling you can make your marketing messages both to supervisees and to organisational decision makers.
· When you can clearly talk about how you bring value you will attract and convert those supervisees who are aligned to your particular blend of supervision.
· When you understand fully what is different and unique about your supervision practice you can deepen further your talents, growing yourself and your business side by side.
Note: These webinars are live and will not be recorded for confidentiality reasons.
