AC Webinar Series: The Three Pillars of Psychological Flexibility

Hosted by Association for Coaching, these 3 online sessions take place from 7 October to 4 November.

The webinar series will explore three Pillars of Psychological Flexibility from High-Performance Olympic and Paralympic Sports and will allow coaches to deeply understand themselves in the coaching moment, to bring their best coaching performance to their clients.

Head Coach of British Para Table Tennis, Greg Baker, will share the three Pillars of Psychological Flexibility:

Pillar 1: Focusing on Self – Understanding self, your behaviour preference, style, and how you coach/lead and make decisions within increased stress and pressure situations.

Pillar 2: Focusing on Others – Being aware of other people’s non-verbal and verbal communication preferences, behaviours, actions, values, and unique strengths.

Pillar 3: Focusing on Context –  Being aware of the situation and environment you are in, that will vary the impact of your leadership style, behaviour, actions, and coaching delivery.

The series will explore individual and team coaching from a High-Performance Sports Coaching perspective, drawing on similarities and differences within Sport and Executive coaching, allowing the audience to take away new viewpoints to accelerate their coaching.


Greg Baker is an experienced Executive and Business Coach (ICF, ACC), a High-Performance Sports Head Coach, Facilitator, Trainer, and Performance Mentor.

Greg has been the Head Coach of British Para Table Tennis since 2009, which has seen the sport achieve multiple medals at the London 2012 Paralympic Games and securing record-breaking results in Rio 2016, with Great Britain finishing in the top two of the medals table.

Greg’s Head Coach Leadership to date has helped deliver over 60 major medals, spanning over 13 years of major championship success, including coaching European, World, and Paralympic Champions.
