Dispelling the Myths around Trauma for Coaches
Trauma has become front and center in many of our lives, whether we realize it or not.
As a coach, you may wonder ‘why do I need to know about trauma?’. When the topic of trauma first comes up in conversation with coaches, this is a common response.
But prior to the pandemic, many studies including CDC-Kaiser Adverse Childhood Experiences Study found 2 out of 3 participants had one traumatic event in their lives and 20% have had three or more. You can find out more further information on trauma studies can be found here

Lydia Walker is a certified coach, NLP Master Practitioner, mBIT Master Coach, Advanced Integral Eye Movement Practitioner and trauma-informed CPD trainer. She offers online accredited CPD for coaches on how to be trauma-informed in coaching work.
Lydia’s depth of understanding of trauma comes both from both her own personal experience of living and recovering from undiagnosed complex Post Traumatic Stress as well as attending trainings and influences from world renowned experts in the trauma field.
Lydia also facilitates a group work programme for women who are impacted by domestic abuse.
