About me

Leadership Coach - London & South East

Neil is an accredited Executive & Leadership Coach with over 13 years’ experience and has been supervising coaches for 10+ years.

Neil has been an executive and a leader, with a long career gained in the Financial Services sector. Prior to that, he was MD for 5 years - of what was a distressed insurance broker - which with the help of his Directors and the team ethos returned the company to being a financial success. He has also been a Non-Executive Director.

Banking and Finance

Neil has worked with leaders in a variety of sectors, including Accountancy, Banking and Finance, Insurance and Sales. Neil is an empathetic coach as he knows what the pressure are like in a high achieving business world.

Neil supports clients in addressing a range of challenges, including career progression, delegation, time management and handling difficult conversations. He also helps clients with career direction, confidence and work/life balance.

"Neil has always asked the right questions and therefore helped me to find answers sooner than I would have done otherwise. He has kept me striving to achieve more and focused on what we need to do next." A.M. Murphy.

Neil comes from a practical perspective. He has always been results orientated and is very keen to support people who want to be developed in whatever way is going to work for them.

Neil thoroughly enjoys Executive Coaching and Career Coaching which is enriched by his own experience of being made redundant several times, resulting in having to go through the job hunting process three times in ten years, which included searching out the right opportunities, CV writing and interviewing.

NLP Master Practitioner

Neil was an FCII in 1977(Fellow of Chartered Insurance Institute) and FCIM (Fellow of Institute of Marketing).
Neil has always been someone who wants to develop himself and has continued learning new skills including NLP Practitioner and Master Practitioner in NLP in 1997 and in 2005(Neuro-Linguistic Programming). He finally became an Accredited Coach in 2010 with the Association for Coaching (AC), and a Supervisor of Coaches in 2008 with CSA (Coaching Supervision Academy). Neil was accredited by the AC in 2014.

Neil is a founder member of the Association of Coaching Supervisors and takes supervision incredibly seriously. He gains great satisfaction in developing coaches through supervision and reflection. Working together with coaches is developmental for both parties.

"If you want things to change for the better but don't know where to start then Neil is the man you need to speak to. He asks the right questions to get you thinking critically about what you are doing but in a way which is constructive and positive." C. Sargent.

Neil is my current Coach Supervisor and I've been working with him for around the last 3 years. I chose Neil because he's extremely personable and easy to talk to but don't let this fool you - he's also very astute and able to directly challenge me when I need it. He's a great listener and doesn't miss anything (even those elements that you would rather he would!). His advice, guidance and support has been fantastic and really helped me to tackle a couple of very key issues which have improved both my professional and personal life. I would highly recommend him to fellow coaches and clients.

I was introduced to Neil following a promotion to my first MD role and found the programme/sessions genuinely transformational. Neil helped me take a step back from perceived issues so that I could see solutions rather than problems, both from a work and home perspective. Neil's style is very engaging and he isn't afraid to challenge - in fact the more challenging the discussions became, the more I got out of the sessions. Having personally had the benefit of Neil's expertise and guidance, I have since asked Neil to provide coaching programmes to a number of my high performers/rising stars across different companies where I have worked. The feedback from all of these (there have been at least 6) has been hugely positive and I have been so impressed with how these individuals have developed with Neil's help. John E.

I have worked closely with Neil in the past acting both as a Business Mentor for me personally and also when acting as Coach to a number of my direct reports. Neil has a wealth of practical experience backed up with some excellent mentoring / coaching skills he has honed over the years which result in a relaxed but professional style that encourage you as a Mentee to examine your own behaviours and certainly helps Coachees get the best out of their sessions with Neil. Neil has remained a trusted confidant and business friend and I would have no hesitation in recommending his services to others.

Neil helped me after a board promotion and change in role a few years ago. I found the coaching process really useful in dealing with the challenges and initial stress adapting to the new role. It was also helpful in stepping back and seeing the bigger picture to make more effective strategic decisions. I would have no hesitation recommending working with Neil.
