"I had been struggling to read at all for some time when I started reading this on New Year's Eve .... and couldn't put it down. I was pulled immediately into the stories. I have enjoyed and benefitted from two periods of coaching with Julie over the last two years. My personal development gains are very tangible. We have focused on a range of challenges, both personal and professional. Sessions with Julie are typically characterised by a very human and supportive approach, a strong degree of challenge and lots of humour. She brings focus and an emphasis on constructive outcomes - I always end sessions with a clear set of actions or behavioural adjustments to take forward. I particularly admire her mental agility and ability to respond quickly and constructively as new issues or perspectives emerge in our discussions. I have developed increased self-awareness, a broader range of strategies to support my personal effectiveness in a challenging management environment and, dare I say it, increased emotional intelligence. I have recommended Julie to colleagues for different purposes and they have felt equally positive about the value, enjoyment and benefits gained from her coaching. Julie and I have worked together for nearly a year - she has just the right blend of compassionate challenge and humour! As a new director in the NHS she has helped me move on from my old roles and continues to help me to grow into my new one

I have been supported by Julie for 4 years and she has been an incredible coach to me individually but also to my team. I am a GP and Julie has worked with both GPs and management teams at the practice. Julie is very open and honest and will challenge your thinking and behaviours. Julie has helped me identify my personality strengths on a good day but also negative traits when I'm on a bad day and under stress. She is organised, professional but very approachable with a great sense of humour. I will continue to work with Julie and learn from her.

I have worked with Julie for over a year. She has a relaxed and engaging style which makes her comfortable to work with. She also has knowledge of a range of models and techniques which have really helped to give me a perspective on certain situations, and develop effective responses to them. Ian Holmes, Director, West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership

Julie's high support/high challenge approach coupled with her warmth and sense of humour makes her an exceptional coach. From an individual perspective she's supported me in developing my thinking particularly around how I manage my emotions and overall wellbeing, and putting that learning into action. As a client she receives consistently positive feedback from all who benefit from her motivational approach. Steve Neary - Head of Talent
