About me

Executive Coach - Oxford & London


My background: I am an EMCC Accredited Executive Coach, with nine years of coaching experience (five years of which is post-accreditation). My coaching is underpinned by 30 years of corporate and self-employment experience in FMCG manufacturing, financial services, and professional services.

Who I coach: Those experienced in the world of work, ranging from senior executives and operational managers, to individuals in their private capacity, regardless of status

Why clients come to me: To make sense of the challenges they face; to resolve dilemmas; to explore future possibilities; in short - for clarity.

Where I coach: I am currently offering coaching via Zoom, MS Teams, Skype, etc. As circumstances change, I will return to face-to-face coaching, in Oxford, London, or at a location convenient to you (details and logistics to be agreed)

My purpose: To support and empower you in achieving the challenge that is facing you. I 'walk beside you', helping you to clarify your intentions, identify specific outcomes that you want to achieve, and explore possible actions you could take. In the next session we would then examine progress made, and further explore what else needs doing.

The importance of alignment: My coaching experience has taught me the importance of working with you to achieve alignment - between what you believe to be your purpose and values, and your behaviour taking place on a daily basis, in your particular environment. Gaining such alignment helps you to achieve authenticity - with people you lead, your peers, your seniors, and those important to you in your personal life.

Achieving authenticity: In a longer-term coaching relationship, we can further develop your authentic identity and purpose as a leader, in your professional and personal life - if indeed this is the direction you wish to follow in taking on a coach. Learning from one healthy aspect of the approach of the original alchemists, our work here is to explore, refine and distil the essence of what you offer to those around you, and your world, and to explore how this can be applied - a challenging, but potentially hugely energising and rewarding process.

Dirk is an outstanding executive coach. I worked with him some years ago on a management development programme for senior leaders and he was very effective in his role as a facilitator and coach, with excellent feedback.
