About me

Executive Coaching Ingatestone, Essex & London

My approach to coaching is different. It goes against the norm. In today’s society, it is more common to become dependent on others’ thinking. Where others interrupt your thoughts. Where others will be more interested in sharing their insight and experience rather than being curious where you will go next with your thoughts. Where others listen just long enough to get the gist of what you are saying before offering their views or worst still, their opinion.

Today’s corporate environment is about growth, creativity and authenticity.

You’ll need to break away from being dependent on others thinking, imitation and group think, and replace it with independent thinking; thinking for yourself as yourself. Connect with your intuition. Shift your mindset. Break your fixed pattern of thinking. Be the difference you want to see.

Our coaching will stretch you

You'll feel resourced, stretched and encouraged through our coaching and achieve more than you thought possible.

Diploma in psychological coaching

My intention is to create an environment for you to think well for yourself. My work is underpinned by a post graduate diploma in psychological coaching and on the Thinking Environment®, pioneered by Nancy Kline.

My approach is based on a philosophy that you are creative, capable, and have the resources within you to achieve what you want for yourself. These resources may be untapped or hidden. My coaching is underpinned by the fact I:

* Care deeply with empathy and compassion to support you getting clear on what you want and making more empowering choices.
* Challenge your thinking by working at the core of what might be getting in your way.
* Invite your feelings to be expressed in a safe and non-judgemental environment to facilitate the process of high-quality thinking.
* Encourage you to go to the edge of your thinking (outside your comfort zone) to create possibilities and tap into a resourcefulness you didn’t know you had.
* Hold an expectation that you can think for yourself, as yourself, rather than being dependent on another’s thinking or what others want you to be.
* Work with both your heart and your head, allowing them to do what they do best; the heart noticing what it wants and the heard facilitating the direction.

Coaching by Skype

I work with clients all over the world via Skype, telephone and face to face clients predominately in London.

Prior to becoming an Executive Coach I spent 15 years in the professional and financial services industry from Secretary to HR Director, working with legal and non-legal staff, equities, fixed income and global IT divisions.

I could not recommend Jane enough! She gave me the confidence and the energy I needed to make a change in my life, without influencing me. An amazing coach. LM Senior Brand Manager PepsiCo

I'd recommend Jane to anyone, without hesitation. I imagine there are very few scenarios where she couldn't help and add value. I've worked with a few coaches before, but Jane helped me to organise my thoughts and find the answers myself quickly in a way I hadn't experience before. She supported me in becoming a lot more resilient in a very short amount of time. A couple of months after our first coaching session, I was promoted to my current role and I believe her guidance played a bit part in that happening. Thank you again Jane.

A year on from working with Jane I can tell you - the impact and value is lasting. I don't want to overuse the words "life changing" but in all honesty my day-to-day life has changed since coaching - as I find myself better able to tackle challenges, balance stress, and make decisions in an effective and meaningful way. The time with Jane can be tough - you have to put the honesty and authenticity into the experience, but she truly makes a difference in how she helps you face issues, own up to assumptions and challenge yourself to make a attitude / action change.

Jane has been very instrumental in helping me mature in my current role. She gave me the space to think through some of the negative attitudes that I took into meetings that I was chairing or facilitating which were causing some of the poor outcomes I was experiencing. Meetings were challenging for that reason, with Jane, as she gently but firmly encouraged me to face ‘wrong thinking’ that I was continually falling into. Jane helped me to plan and run meetings so that everyone got a say including me and how to bring conversations back to the topic when they veered off. I have discovered that people at meetings I run feel positive about them as there is a structure to them and an opportunity for them to contribute to the outcomes: and they finish on time! The emotional intelligence test I did also helped a lot in identifying areas needing improving and I used the meeting environment to address those areas.

My experience with Jane was the single most rapid cycle of personal development in my career. The tangible impact was that of greater self-awareness combined with an understanding of techniques and approaches to boost my emotional intelligence. Years later I find myself thinking most every day about some of the key lessons I learned with Jane - she created a very significant, positive and long-lasting effect. A fantastic person to know and work with.
