Eamon is an experienced coach and facilitator. He supports and challenges his clients to develop their careers, be engaged in what they do, take meaning from their work, build positive relationships and of course to achieve results
Eamon brings creativity, honesty , humour and energy to his work. He has a love of learning and holds a M.Sc. in People and Organisational Development and a Post Graduate Certificate in Coaching. Eamon is an APECS Accredited Executive Coach.
Leading Change
Eamon qualified as a pharmacist before spending the first fifteen years of his career in marketing and sales within the pharmaceutical industry. There, he developed his passion for working with individuals and teams to develop ways to improve their own performance and that of their brands. He has held roles at every level from representative to UK Executive Team member with major pharmaceutical companies.

As well as driving commercial success, his work involved the leadership, management and coaching of many teams and people. In addition Eamon has significant experience of designing and leading change programmes including process re-engineering and culture change. He has worked with clients to build successful teams and brands in the UK, Europe and Emerging Markets.
As well as his love of working in the pharmaceutical sector his work takes him into a variety of sectors including: Industry body (ABPI); public sector (NHS and NICE); engineering; finance, and the development of coaches at the elite end of professional sport (Rugby Football Union)

In my first Team Manager role in the Pharma Industry, I was fortunate enough to have Eamon as an executive Coach for my first year. In the past, working as CEO of Willen Hospice I was fortunate to have used the resources of Eamon O’Brien. Eamon supported the charity ‘Pro Bono’ for many years in three key forms. Firstly, in providing top level Trustee /Senior team ‘away days’, working with the senior team in group sessions and additionally in the form of 1 to 1 coaching with myself. I have therefore enjoyed an overview of Eamon’s style as a coach in multiple settings and groups. He is a wise and insightful expert coach, who enables the recipient of his facilitation to go on their own journey and achieve their goals, with the lightest of touch. I have also witnessed him unpack some challenging personalities in a safe and productive way. Dynamic in his approach Eamon will respond to the changing environment taking heed of evolving needs without losing sight of the original goals. As a one to one coach Eamon is a joy to work with using challenge as a tool to best bring out the developing needs of the individual. Eamon has played a central role in helping me through critical points in my career (and indeed many aspects of my own personal development). I have worked with Eamon in the capacity of either, personal coach or team advisor / coach since 2004. On every occasion he has fully supported my development and thinking, offering a helpful nudge where needed, an alternative way of viewing a situation and importantly helping me recognise success. He brings true depth of thinking, he knows the theory inside out and applies this appropriately. Having worked with him on a 1:1 basis and with broader cross functional teams scenarios I can testify to his ability to adapt and tailor programme content to the situation and specific dynamics. Eamon has been absolutely pivotel as my executive coach and thinking partner for me since I took on a more senior and strategic management role 3 years ago. He was an initial sounding board for me as I got to grips with the new role managing a diverse team, helping me fire fight the many challenges one faces in a new role, as well as working with me on longer term development in this role with a view to the next one. I found Eamon at just the right time and he adapted his approach to exactly what I needed at the time and we adopted the phrase thinking partner'.
