About me

Executive Coaching Dunfermline

I always wanted to build my own practice and after leaving Corporate life in 2014, I established ConsultF5. "F5" is the "refresh" button on your keyboard.

My purpose is to help every client (1 by 1) to reflect upon their current reality, to refresh their mind-sets and generate sustainable results that will help them to leap beyond their own perceived limits.

I believe that when we pause to reflect on challenges we clarify our current reality. What has changed is how we see the situation. When we see challenges differently, creative insights and new ideas emerge. What has changed is how we approach the situation.

When we approach challenges refreshed our actions open the door to delivering exceptional results beyond limits. Everything has changed!

Coaching - a powerful development technique

I have a strong successful track record of senior leadership roles in the financial, retail, transport, security and public sectors and an in depth knowledge of why and how coaching is in reality a powerful tool.

My years of experience have proven to me over and over again, that the use of one-to-one coaching conversations can and do enhance an individual’s skills, knowledge or work performance. In essence, coaching, is an extremely powerful development technique.

Over a number of years, I have worked with a range of different people from many different clients including RBS, Barclays Bank, HSBC, Lloyds, Old Mutual Wealth, Network Rail, First Group, Statoil, Heathrow (BAA), Specsavers, Asda, O2, Levi Strauss, the Wood Group, the Department of Work and Pensions, HMRC, Mary's Meals, The Stovax Group and most recently the Co-op.

Coaching approach

My approach is as follows: I will initially ask each new client to complete a pre-coaching questionnaire. Following that I'd have an initial 1-1 coaching conversation (a chemistry meeting) - basically to see if we understand one another and if there is a good fit! We'll then agree upon a course of action that will include a series of topics for review and contractually agree the due process.

I am based in Dunfermline and offer Executive, Leadership, Performance and Career Coaching throughout the UK including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester and London.

So why me?

I am passionate about coaching. I love to listen. I will challenge you to change. I'll use current articles to help you along your way. I'll follow up with you to help you to find your purpose and achieve the results you have longed for. I'll also stick with you, for as long as it takes!

I was fortunate enough to have employer-sponsored coaching during my transition to senior leadership with Daryl. He is able to be both empathetic and challenging, providing support yet more importantly he helped build the ‘leadership muscle’ required to face the demands of such a transition. Daryl truly lives by his values and encourages others to do the same.

Daryl is a highly experienced, calm and very insightful coach. His listening skills and interest in helping his client are very strong attributes - with a gentle style that is very focused on ensuring I produce practical and highly relevant solutions to the topics I'm being coached on. Daryl also pulls on strong understanding of proven models, tools and techniques to assist in various difficult situations. I'd heartily recommend Daryl to anyone considering coaching.

Daryl is a great listener and this is the most vital area ignored by many. Whilst he has all the tools and strategies to coach, his ability to understand and empathise is key to success. He helped me cut out the 'noise' of a busy and stressful role, enabling me to focus on the most important areas I needed to address and giving me a plan and timetable with which to do this. Having known Daryl for a few years, I was delighted to engage him to work with my team this year to bring clarity to both individual and team goals. He is easy to talk to and a great listener. His questioning really makes you think about where your priorities should be and the support he provides gives you the tools to implement the changes you need to make.

Daryl listens and gently probes and challenges to allow me to uncover and strip back the layers to give me clarity of thought. He gives me space to explore my thoughts and ideas. Daryl has helped me understand who I am and where I want my business to be focused. Peter Waggott V.P. UK & Europe
