About me

Coach Supervisor, Leadership and Executive Coach- Oxford, Witney & Birmingham

Jude is the co-founder of the Listening Partnership, an Oxford-based executive coaching company that provides executive coaching for leaders and individuals.

She is an executive coach with over 25 years' experience across a broad range of sectors. Jude has trained over a thousand coaches, in the UK and internationally. As a supervisor of executive coaches and L&OD consultants, she draws upon her strong business and change consultancy background. A genuine passion for helping people learn and grow sits at the heart of everything Jude does.

She is the co-author of The Story So Far: Introduction to Transformational Narrative Coaching. Jude is the course designer and trainer for advanced narrative coaching courses built upon the ideas in this book.

Humour and Coaching

With an MSc in Executive Coaching, and experience in Gestalt, NLP and Transformational Narrative Coaching ensure a strong relational, systems and communications focus to her work. She is an effective leadership coach, often called in to work with leaders in challenging and complex situations. This is enhanced by her keen interest in emotional and narrative literacy, leadership authenticity, resiliency and effectiveness. Jude is organisationally savvy and, having researched 'humour and coaching' for her MSc in Executive Coaching, her outlook gives her work a refreshing and unique flavour that cuts through to deeper levels of insight. She combines thoughtful rigour and intuition, with creativity.

Jude's supervision sessions deliver the chance to step back and gain new perspectives. Her overall aim is to help her supervision clients generate ‘super-vision’, a meta-perspective on their day-to-day coaching practices. Her approach encourages people to step out from business as usual and return to their client work differently, with new awareness and the practical applications of session insights. She also introduces new ideas and resources into the supervision mix, encouraging learning, safe experimentation and onward action.

Her supervision conversations explore contracting, client relationship building, the ethical aspects of professional practice, coach self-care, coaching and systemic interventions, and change initiatives. This is all done within a broad range of different organisational and commercial contexts. Jude believes that supervision is a crucial way for professionals to enhance their practice, stay razor-sharp, right at the edge of their learning and serve their clients more effectively. She offers individual and group sessions.

Collaborative Partnership

For supervision and coaching sessions, Jude provides a blend of face-to-face meetings, Zoom and phone conversations. Jude’s preference is to set up regular meetings over an agreed time period, rather than a one-off session. Although this way of working is a commitment, the confidential thinking environment that is created, builds a collaborative partnership of trust and real understanding, within a safe structure. It facilitates cumulative coaching development and provides a high level of challenge and support throughout the process.

Jude has given me excellent coaching supervision over the past four years. She is highly skilled and draws on a wealth of experience and knowledge as well as her natural compassion and intuition to create a safe and meaningful coaching supervision experience. She does not shy away from the deep and the difficult, when required. I have particularly liked the way she has used metaphor with me to get to the bottom of a nitty gritty issue. Highly recommended.
